Bill Dart is the Deputy Director of the Office of Policy Planning and Statistics
at the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). The Office of Policy,
Planning, and Statistics (OPPS) collects, analyzes and evaluates information
on health status, health needs and disease occurrence in Illinois residents to
conduct epidemiologic studies and support health assessments. OPPS
includes the Divisions of Vital Records, Patient Safety and Quality, Health
Policy, Rural Health, Epidemiologic Studies and Health Statistics.
Mr. Dart has been with IDPH for more than five years and has been working
as a deputy director since September 2014. Mr. Dart worked for many years
at Healthcare and Family Services (formerly Public Aid). In various positions
with that agency, he worked with the range of Medicaid and child support
enforcement issues, working more in depth on long term care issues.
