Maps and bespoke magazines and yearbooks for local businesses.
● Over 100 issues of our magazines have been printed.

Our readers
Our magazines are widely popular and renowned for their
quality reproduction and design and for being informative,
relevant and entertaining. They are the only local media
delivered directly by hand to local homes and have been
supported with advertising by over 1,500 local companies.
BY THE DART – established in 2008; regularly 164 pages.
Hand delivered to 4,000 homes and businesses in Dartmouth
and Kingswear as well as over 1,500 copies available for pick
up at many distribution points in Dartmouth and surrounding
villages.
THE POST - established in 2010. Hand delivered to over 5,000
homes and businesses in/around Kingsbridge and Salcombe
plus a further 1,500 copies for pick up.
Both magazines are:
● Published six times a year.
● Printed in a B5 format on quality paper stock.
● Greater than 40% of pagination is editorial
● Editorial is locally relevant, informative and entertaining.
● Extensive listings of local events & features on key festivals
and regattas.
● Content is focused on interviews with local people, local
history & geography and profiles of local businesses &
community organisations.
● We reach over 80% of all homes in the TQ6, 7 and 8
postcodes as well as being picked up by many thousands
of visitors to the area.
● Readers are very loyal to these magazines with an
unusually high proportion retaining their copies for
months, if not years.
● A significant proportion of our readers are affluent retirees
to the area, second home-owners, vacationing visitors and
owners of local businesses etc.
Editorial integrity
Circulation reach TQ6, 7 & 8
● Content is designed to ‘celebrate local life’ reflecting
what is special about living in or visiting South Devon.
● Only locally produced or commissioned editorial from local
contributors or businesses.
● More local content and event listings than any other
magazines or websites available in South Devon.
● Engaging and useful editorial creates strong reader loyalty
giving more exposure to advertised businesses and better
return from their advertising budgets.
● The only publisher of locally distributed magazines
actually based in the area.
A quality & engaged readership
● We are the only magazines that are locally delivered
door-to door.
● Other magazines such as Devon Life have far less relevance
to the local area and reach far fewer readers.
● We reach most second home-owners in the area – often
higher spenders on local restaurants, art galleries, local
building trades, kitchen and bathroom suppliers etc.
They rely on our magazines to help identify local
services.

Why Advertise
“Print marketing is still the most
direct, transparent, easy to
implement and productive form
of marketing.”
“Dripping-tap marketing is a way
to keep your business in front of
potential customers to ensure a
smooth flow of work.”

Extended exposure and bigger savings for advertisers
● Our magazines have ‘coffee table’ appeal; their content ensures they are kept for
future reference.
● Advertising in our magazines has a long shelf life (the ‘dripping-tap’) and
offers multiple, affordable solutions for all types of advertisers to build long
term recognition and reputation for their businesses.
● Newspapers can be significantly more expensive and recycled too quickly to build
long term awareness.
● Using our magazines for long-term brand building, frees up resources to
spend elsewhere e.g. online, on social media, point of sale etc.
● Our online platforms such as www.bythedart.co.uk and social media offer highly
affordable campaigns to help your business be seen online as well.
