Developer / Analyst
Reporting to Business Data Development Manager
The Role
Responsible for implementing best practice and providing consultancy in design, development and
implementation of project work undertaken. Provide analysis techniques, identifying problems,
propose and deliver business solutions around data integration.
Key responsibilities are:







Implementing relationships between several applications
Development of fully functioning and interactive user interfaces
Identify inefficiencies and creating opportunities for automation
Working closely with MIS to deliver business solutions around data integration
Analysing shortcomings of existing automation solutions
Providing specialist knowledge (VBA/SQL) to automate routine reporting
Providing consultancy in data extraction techniques
The skills and experience required are:










Highly numerate and analytical
Educated to degree level
Advanced knowledge of Excel and /or Access
A high degree of IT and numeracy skills
Evidence of data analysis and manipulation skills
Advanced knowledge of VBA/SQL techniques
Application of specialist knowledge to ongoing data analysis with ability to work effectively
unsupervised
Providing detailed information and interpretation of society data
Complexity of role relates specifically to extensive data mining and interpretation skills and
knowledge
Proactive professional with good business acumen who will initiate new ideas within their own
projects
