Position: Marketing Manager
Reports To: Marketing Vice President
Status: Regular Full-Time Exempt

Position Summary:
The Marketing Manager works closely with the Marketing VP on overall planning and execution of associations
marketing strategies for all internal and external audiences to insure achievement of association goals and the delivery
of a world-class member experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Works with the Marketing VP to lead the development and implementation of an annual MEA marketing plan and
budget that enables the successful achievement of annual business goals across all channels and lines of business.
•Supports the Marketing VP in the development of annual forecasts and associated sales plans to achieve association
new business, member retention and existing member growth objectives.
•Lead evaluation & implementation of leading-edge B2B marketing-cloud solutions for Marketing Campaign
Management, Analytics, Mobile Content & Analytics, Learning Sites, Social Communities and Web Conferencing.
•Directs the efforts of MEA staff regarding all aspects of developing and implementing innovative marketing campaigns;
including development and execution of the annual association Social Media Plan.
•Responsible for effective data mining of the association management system (WebLink) to develop targeted marketing
campaigns.
•Responsible for leading and managing the execution of the annual Sales Trade Show Plan and developing the required
sales enablement materials needed to support the plan requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Responsible for the training and staff utilization of the association Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
and any associated Marketing Automation System (MAS) to insure a sufficient sales pipeline to support association
growth objectives and track marketing campaigns ROI.
•Using a Shared Services model, coordinates the strategic and tactical levels with the other MEA lines of business and
works collaboratively with the Director of Communications to ensure the marketing, communication, resource and
production plans are supporting those lines of business.
•Supports the Director of Communications to insure the consistent application of association brand standards,
appearance, graphics and messaging for MEA.
•Responsible for insuring an adequate pipeline of sales opportunities through the development and implementation of
effective lead generation programs and associated B2B marketing campaigns, content marketing, lead scoring and lead
nurturing systems.
•Responsible for the developing and implementing efficient and effective online surveys and other assessment tools to
measure MEA’s services effectiveness and member engagement.
•Actively participates in the association new product development process and develops innovative marketing campaign
plans that support an effective product launch.
•As required, authors RFP’s and manages the selection process for external marketing vendors.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of five years of relevant professional marketing management experience. Past experience working in an
association business model preferred, but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline such as marketing; MBA preferred.
•Experience working with leading-edge B2B marketing-cloud solutions for Marketing Campaign Management, Analytics,
Mobile Content & Analytics, Learning Sites, Social Communities and Web Conferencing.
• Experience working in a corporate shared services environment and building collaborative working partnerships with
multiple internal business line owners.
• Demonstrated experience (samples will be requested) developing comprehensive marketing plans.
• Experience with working with a formal new product development process and supporting successful product launches.
• Experience with multiple systems that support the marketing automation and sales processes.
• Strong project management skills with proven track record of managing cross-functional project teams.
• Intermediate knowledge business software - MS Office Suite, WebEx.
• Working knowledge of web development technologies, mobile platforms and print portals.
• Strong people skills, including the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multiple operating
companies and departments.
• Ability to work independently, be proactive, drive solutions, drive change and think creatively.
