Clyde M. Siebman [email protected] 903.870.0070 Clyde Siebman is senior partner of the law firm Siebman, Burg, Phillips & Smith, LLP which he founded in 1991. Clyde began his federal practice as a law clerk to US District Judge Paul Brown and rode the circuit with Judge Brown from Sherman to Beaumont. His practice is concentrated on civil cases in Federal Court throughout the Eastern District of Texas. Clyde graduated from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 1984. He is licensed to practice law in Texas (1984), Oklahoma (2009) and admitted to practice in the Eastern, Northern, Western and Southern Districts of Texas, the US Courts of Appeals for the Federal and Fifth Circuits and the United States Supreme Court. Clyde is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Civil Trial law and is listed in Best Lawyers in America in the areas of patent, trademark and commercial litigation. He has been included on the list of Texas Super Lawyers since 2003 and peer review rated AV (very high to exemplary) by Martindale Hubbell Law Directory since 1992. Clyde founded the Eastern District of Texas Bar Association and has served many roles in the district including working on the Local Rules Advisory Committee and various Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Committees. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the State Bar of Texas and is President of the Judge Paul Brown Inn of Court. Having been appointed by three Texas governors to the boards of state agencies, Clyde has been active in the civic and political affairs of East Texas. He has served on the Red River Boundary Commission, the Red River Authority, the Riverbend Water Resources District and currently serves as Presiding Officer of the Grayson County Regional Mobility Authority. Clyde has also represented the Texas Fourth Congressional District (Northeast Texas) as an Elector on the Presidential Electoral College of the United States. Clyde is married to Judge Carol Siebman and the couple has one daughter who is also an attorney. In his spare time Clyde likes to travel and spend time outdoors.
