THREE PERSONS HELD FOR SELLING FORTWIN DRUGS IN ILLEGAL WAY.
On 27-08-2016, on credible information, Commissioner’s Task Force,
South Zone Team, Hyderabad with the assistance of Drug Inspector,
Charminar Zone, Hyderabad apprehended three accused persons namely
1) S. Prakash, 2) S. Sailesh and 3). Md Abdul Majeed Khan who found indulged
in procuring and selling Pharmaceutical drug i.e. Spurious FORTWIN injections
illegally without any doctor prescription, invoice and earning easy money.
Names and addresses of accused persons:1. S. Prakash S/o. Late. S. Narayana,
aged: 43 yrs, occ: Vishnu Medical
Hall at Malkajigiri R/o. Vaninagar,
2. S. Sailesh S/o. Late. S. Nagaraju,
aged: 34 yrs, occ: Sales Agent R/o.
back side Omega Hotel, Sainikpuri,
3. Md Abdul Majeed Khan @Viqar S/o.
Late Md Mansoor Khan, aged: 40
yrs occ: Security guard, R/o.
Chanchalguda, Bagezahara, Hyd.
Property seized:216- Fortwin Ampoules.
Brief facts:The brief facts of the case are that, the accused S. Prakash is a
proprietor of Vishnu Medical hall at Malkajigiri having contacts with one
Surender R/o. Tirupati, A.P. who is said to be running a medical shop at
Tirupati. The said Surender is supplying the FORTWIN injections on the verbal
order without any valid invoice through courier for Rs 600/- each box (each
box containing 12 Ampoules. The original cost of each Ampoule Rs. 5.58 paisa).
Where as Prakash used to sell the same to his known customers who addicted
for Rs 1,000/- each box.
Three months back the accused Md Abdul Majeed came in contact with
Prakash through one Sailesh and procuring the said FORTWIN ampoules (box)
from Prakash for Rs 1000/- and selling it to the needy addicted customers on
retail price with 100% margin and sometimes more than that depending upon
the situation. The Fortwin injection is a pain killer generally used in major
surgeries that too under the supervision of Anesthesian.
But the accused
persons are misusing the Fortwin injections and selling it to the addicted
persons without any prescription, invoice for earning easy money. The
continuous usage of this drug leads to chronic problems like cardiac arrest,
shortening of breath, neuro, fits, lack of hungry etc., thereby endangering to
The accused persons and seized property being handed over to Reinbazar
P.S. for taking necessary action.
