Building for the Future, by Tim Haywood
You felt it when your first child was born. The oveMhelming sense of responsibility
to care for this beautiful gift entrusted to you by God. You instantly knew that your
life would never be the same. And ever since that day every single decision your
family has made has been cenlered on the well being of your children.
That responsibility is not to be taken lightly. It is a testament of your commitment as
a parent that you bring your child to Bible class and worship so that they can
develop the most important relationship they'll ever know; their relationship with
God the Father.

ln an effort to continue to secure the hearts of our young ones, a new class/group
is being developed for parents of young children. I want to personally invite and
encourage every peBon who has a child aged 0-12 to be active and involved with
this group. We're calling the class "Building for the Future" and our goal is to bring
us together as parents, and subsequently bring our children together.
While this would happen organically without a group or class for some, the reality is
that it won't for others. The age of parents of young children at Central is a wide
range. This class/group will provide a welcoming atmosphere for we as parents to
come together from all ages and backgrounds with the common goal of helping our
children make the trip from Earth to Heaven.
I am excited about the potential for this class/group. We will meet starting next
Sunday morning for Bible class in the fellowship hall downstairs. Dennis Russell
will be leading the class, but we will have several teachers. We will also have
regular get-togethers outside of class with opportunities for our children to start
building bonds that will last for eternity.

Selfishly, I hope all parents of young children at Central will be part of this group. I
say selfishly because if you are a part of this group, then I know that there is one
more Christian family my own children will be able to grow up with and bond with.
And one more family who Amanda and I can ride this crazy train called parenthood
with for the next 18 years or sol
Please make sure you sign the list to receive email alefts for th,s c/ass, even if you
will not be able to attend on Sunday momings this quafter. There will be families
outside the auditoium to take your information. We want you to be a paft of this
class, even if you cannot be in the class!
