Innovative concepts and creative partnerships are becoming increasingly important
for railways. The SPITZKE Group is a system supplier for the construction of infrastructure for mainline and regional railways, urban and underground railways, tramways,
industrial and branch lines in Germany and elsewhere in Europe.
With its powerful machines and vehicles, specific new developments, standard and
custom-built equipment, the Group’s machinery and rolling stock make possible optimum solutions with high time and cost efficiency. We work out the most technically
and economically advantageous combination for each project. Our high standards of
quality and flexible organisational processes ensure that track possession times are
reduced and thus that track availability is improved.
After investing in the RM 900 S ballast cleaning machine and the UM-S 2001 track-renewal train, we added track-bound
formation rehabilitation to complete our range of capabilities in 2007. The RPM-RS-900 combines highly modern, topquality formation rehabilitation, ballast cleaning and ballast recycling. In 2010 the second track-renewal train UM P95
was bought and in 2013/2014 the machinery was completed by two new tamping machines an one ballast plough.
At the same time, all SPITZKE Group machinery and rolling stock represent state of the art standards. The machines are
regularly serviced in our own workshops and enhanced through new developments. Our most important principle is to
deploy qualified specialists. Our employees have the best possible educations in their fields, undergo extensive training

RPM-RS-900
The RPM-RS-900 was designed for formation rehabilitation and for processing the ballast of tracks. For the first time
ever, formation rehabilitation, ballast cleaning and ballast recycling are compactly realised by a single machine complex.
The ballast is excavated, recycled, re-laid, compacted and stabilised. The soil is excavated, the new FPL material laid,
profiled and compacted. All these operations are rail-operated and do not block the adjacent track. This allows for short
track possessions and high track availability.
This machine has been in service since March 2007.

The MATISA-SPITZKE renewal method using the UM-S 2001 track-renewal train enables the continuous renewal of tracks
with different forms of sleepers. Optimum performance parameters ensure minimisation of track possessions.

The RM 900 S was designed by SPITZKE SE, together with the manufacturer, for processing track ballast. It also integrates the new ballast feeder and 09-CSM tamping. The excavation and cleaning performance rates (in one operation)
exceed the capacity of conventional machines.

The material conveyor and hopper wagon MFS 100, MFS 100 S and MFS 40 are used to transport ballast, spoil and FPL
during ballast cleaning and formation rehabilitation. Their main advantage is the continuous conveying, storage and
unloading process. They also realise metered unloading onto the adjacent track (construction track).
